Role Purpose Summary:

This volunteer role provides an opportunity to create greener spaces to promote a pleasant indoor environment for our residents, participants and staff.

Key Accountabilities:

• Monitoring/caring for indoor plants and flowers in the building. This includes watering, trimming and transplanting when necessary.

• Assisting residents to tend to indoor plants if needed.

• Familiarity with plants (mainly standard, tropical, indoor plants).

• Patient, Positive approach and a willingness to help others.

Qualifications

• Good, clear communication skills.

• Able to maintain a conversation while maintaining professional boundaries.

• Familiarity with geriatris and/or vulnerable populations is considered an asset.

• Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and references are mandatory for this position.
